Orica Green EDGE not Trying to Sign Mark Cavendish

Australian professional cycling team Orica Green EDGE has ruled out the possibility that it is in the hunt for the signature of British rider Mark Cavendish if he does decide to leave Team SKY at the end of the current season.

The rookie team in the World Tour had been one of two teams that had been linked with vying for the services of Cavendish after his team mate for Great Britain in the London Olympic Games and Team Sky Bradley Wiggins stated that he would understand if Cavendish chose to leave Team SKY to fulfill his own ambitions.

Wiggins Overwhelmed by People’s Adulation

British cyclist Bradley Wiggins has been left overwhelmed and shocked by the immense adulation that he has received from the people of his native land after a summer where he achieved phenomenal success in his sport.

The 32 year old might have been a well known face in his own circuit previously, but he has seen his public profile soar to an all time high since he became the first British racer to win the prestigious Grand Tour de France and adding the Gold medal in the time trial at the Olympic Games in London.
