Mark Cavendish joined Team Sky last year with a deal of three years but it seems that he is not happy with the team’s biasness towards Bradley Wiggins. He said that he wanted the British Cycling team to reach its highest level and he also mentioned that Britain has the quality to win general classifications and the Green Jersey. Cavendish

Cavendish had to sacrifice the opportunity to secure the green jersey at the 2012 Tour de France as the Team Sky was too keen on helping Bradley Wiggins to be victorious. This disappointed Cavendish and perhaps this is the reason he wants to leave the team. Cavendish asserted that his bond with Team Sky has been really good but somehow he felt that he couldn’t fulfill his desires by staying in a team where someone else snatches all the attention.

Mark Cavendish mentioned that he was really happy to be a member of a team that proclaimed the yellow jersey in 2012 Tour de France but the thing is that he had to sacrifice his own ambition for that. Cavendish wants to win as many stages as he can and it seems that his ambition won’t be fulfilled by sticking to Team Sky. Although he has still got a two-year contract remaining, Cavendish hopes that Brailsford, who has been of a real help for him since his teenage, will understand his reasons to leave and won’t proclaim a buy-out.
